Anandalite easily catches the eye as it sparkles in the light, calling you to take a closer look. Made up of clusters varying from tiny twinkling druzy crystals to much larger pointed beauties (3 pp. 28). A variety of Quartz, it was found in India in 2009 (3 pp. 28). The Hindu word “Ananda” translates to “Divine Bliss” (3 pp. 28), a fitting name for this special crystal.
Anandalite is also known as Aurora Quartz, or Rainbow Quartz. It is important to note that this is not the treated Aurora Quartz, but rather a crystal of natural iridescence. I fondly remember a wonderfully sweet woman in Glastonbury, UK telling me the flashes of color were from the unique crystal formations, the shine is literally produced from inside the crystal points.
Anandalite activates all chakras, facilitating the progress to higher vibrations, kundalini energy, and is known to help remove blockages (leading to spiritual awakenings (2 pp. 229, 3 pp. 28-29).
Rainbow Anandalite- A small percentage of the clusters exhibit an extraordinary natural iridescence from and within the surfaces of its crystal points (3 pp. 28). Holding the master healing stone, I always look forward to the flashes of blue, green, red, yellow, and dancing colors and wait for the unique Anandalite blissful feeling to wash over me.
